Each speaker will have 25 minutes for their presentation and may allocate this time as they see fit. Please note that the allotted time includes any questions or comments that may arise during the session. We therefore encourage presenters to communicate their ideas with clarity, conciseness, and precision.

Monte Albán
One of the most important archaeological sites in Mesoamerica, Monte Albán was the ancient capital of the Zapotec civilization for over a thousand years. Perched on a mountaintop overlooking the Oaxaca Valley, it offers impressive pyramids, ceremonial plazas, tombs, and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Hierve el Agua
Located about 70 km (43 miles) from Oaxaca City, Hierve el Agua is a unique natural site famous for its mineral springs and spectacular petrified waterfalls. Visitors can enjoy scenic hiking trails, breathtaking mountain views, and natural pools fed by spring water. It is one of Oaxaca's most iconic day-trip destinations.

Practical Oaxaca
Walking
Many of Oaxaca’s main attractions are located within walking distance of the Historic Center.
Taxis
Authorized taxis are safe, affordable, and widely available. Most fares are fixed depending on the destination. It is advisable to confirm the fare before starting your trip.
Airport Transportation
Official airport shuttle and taxi services are available at Oaxaca International Airport and operate until the arrival of the last scheduled flight. These are the recommended transportation options for traveling between the airport and the city. Please note that app-based ride-hailing services are not available for pickup at the airport.

- Carry cash, as some small businesses do not accept credit cards.
